About this adventure
City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon sets up its seasonal outdoor Kristi Yamaguchi Holiday Ice Rink from November 6, 2026 to January 3, 2027, and this season adds an overhead canopy so skating goes on rain or shine. Public skating is sold in 90-minute sessions with skate rental included; standard sessions start at 1, 3, 5 and 7 PM, with an 11 AM session Friday through Sunday and a 9 PM session on Friday and Saturday nights. During the Thanksgiving week (Nov 23–27) and winter break (Dec 21–Jan 3) the rink opens daily from 11 AM. Skate aids for beginners can be rented at the rink, rinkside fire pits with s'mores kits can be reserved, and the season includes themed music nights (K-pop on Dec 3, a USA-themed night on Dec 10 and an Olivia Rodrigo night on Dec 17) plus a Saturday Learn to Skate Academy for ages 5 to 14. The rink is cashless and closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
