About this adventure

The Holiday Ice Rink at City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon runs a five-week Learn to Skate Academy on Saturday mornings from November 14 to December 19, with no class on November 28. Classes are split by age: children 5 to 8 skate from 9 to 9:45 AM and those 9 to 14 from 10 to 10:45 AM. Each session is capped at 30 skaters and held before public skating, so beginners learn the basics on a quiet sheet of ice without crowds around them. The full five-week program costs $169 and is booked through the rink's ticket site. It is a practical way for young skaters to build confidence before the busy winter-break weeks, when the rink opens daily from 11 AM.
