About this adventure

A festive 5K fun run and walk that starts and finishes at Union City's Civic Center and City Hall on the first Sunday of December. Families are invited to come in ugly sweaters, reindeer antlers and Santa hats; there are prizes for the best-dressed runners and holiday-themed raffles after the race. Children have their own registration category at a lower price, and medals go to the top three finishers in each age group and gender, starting with a Youth 12 & Under division and a 13–17 division, so school-age kids can race for a podium spot. Check-in opens at 8:00 AM and the race starts at 9:00 AM; walk-up registration is available that morning, but arrive early. Race shirts are an optional add-on rather than part of the fee. The run goes ahead rain or shine, so dress for the weather.
