ODC/Dance brings back its holiday family ballet The Velveteen Rabbit for its 40th anniversary season, November 28 to December 6, 2026, at the Blue Shield of California Theater at YBCA. Choreographed by KT Nelson and based on Margery Williams' children's book, the show combines narration, Benjamin Britten's score, storybook costumes and dancers from ODC/Dance alongside students from ODC's Youth & Teen Program. Weekday and Saturday performances are at 11 a.m. and Sunday performances at 2 p.m. On Sundays November 29 and December 6 a free pre-show talk, 'Behind the Bunny', runs at 1 p.m. in the YBCA lobby. A 'Very Important Bunny' ticket at weekend shows adds a gift bag and a cast selfie. The 11 a.m. shows on December 2 and 4 are aimed at school field trips. Ticket prices were not shown on the page.
