The Puppet Company brings its puppet version of The Nutcracker to the Danville Library for a 45-minute after-school show. Young Clara rescues her toy Nutcracker from the evil Mouse King and turns him into a prince, then visits the land of the Sugar Plum Fairy, with dancing candies, a Snow Queen who 'snows' on the audience, prancing clowns, mechanical toys and Chinese dragons before the big battle between the Mouse King's army and the toys. It is pitched at preschoolers and early-elementary children but billed as a winter treat for all ages. No registration is needed; the show is sponsored by the Friends of the Danville Library.
