The Magnuson Series' Turkey Trot calls 'runners, waddlers and trotters' to Magnuson Park on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26. Families can choose the 400-meter Kids Dash at 9:15 a.m. or the 5K, 10K and 15K run/walk options that start at 9:30 a.m. on the series' USATF-certified 5K loop, which runners repeat for the longer distances. Food Lifeline is the featured charity and will receive a donation from the race, and food items are collected at the race for the University Food Bank. Fresh-baked pies go to the winners and to the best dressed, and the organizers say they love seeing costumes. Registering early gets the best price. Packets can be picked up ahead of race day on Tuesday, November 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Road Runner Sports Green Lake, including for friends and family.
