About this adventure

The Tacoma City Marathon Association calls its Tacoma City Turkey Trot a family affair: a 5K run/walk and a 1K kids run on Thanksgiving morning in Tacoma's Proctor District, starting and finishing at Fleet Feet Tacoma. The 5K starts at 9:00 a.m. The Kids 1K, for children 12 and under, starts at 10:15 a.m., and grown-ups can run with their kids without registering. Thanksgiving costumes and accessories are encouraged. 5K runners receive a commemorative finisher medal and a t-shirt, and Kids 1K runners a finisher's ribbon. Non-perishable food donations are collected at gear check for the Northwest Tacoma Nourish Food Bank, and a portion of proceeds goes to the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County. Free street parking is available around the Proctor area.
