A cookie-baking session for kids aged 7 to 11 and a favorite adult on Saturday, Jan. 9, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., taught by Jess Schmidt. Pairs mix, bake, decorate and sample gooey s'mores cookies, "brookies" (a brownie-cookie mashup), decorated dinosaur cookies, and peanut-butter cookies loaded with M&Ms, Oreos and peanut-butter cups. It is hands-on from start to finish and a good fit for kids who love baking. The fee is $130 for the parent-and-child pair.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
