Kids aged 7 to 11 and a parent learn sushi basics with Rohan Sarino on Sunday, Jan. 3, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Pairs cook sushi rice three ways using different vessels, practice with a bamboo mat and sticky rice, and choose their own fillings, including tuna and salmon, to build regular rolls, inside-out rolls and nigiri. The instructor also shares how to make a spicy sriracha mayo. The class is hands-on and suits adventurous young eaters. The fee is $135 for the parent-and-child pair.
