About this adventure

The race formerly called the Original Wiregrass Wobble Turkey Trot 5K now runs as the BayCare Wobble Turkey Trot, presented by BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel, and it starts and finishes at Tampa Premium Outlets on Thanksgiving morning. The 5K steps off at 7 a.m. and a shorter 1(Tur)K follows at 8:15; a combo entry covers both. Costumes are part of the fun, and organizers say they love seeing pilgrims, turkeys and turkey hats on the course. Every finisher gets a long-sleeve tech shirt, a bib and a steel finisher medal, and age-group awards begin with the 0–9 bracket, so young runners can place too. Through October 30 the prices are $35 for the 5K, $22.50 for the 1K and $37.50 for the combo; they rise after that, and online registration closes at 7 p.m. on November 25. Shirt sizes are guaranteed only for sign-ups before November 1. Packet pickup runs on the evenings of November 24 and 25 and from 6 a.m. on race day at the outlets' main entrance. The race supports the Mary W. Sierra Family YMCA.
