Art Walk is a free, 30-minute themed sketching tour at the National Portrait Gallery on Saturday mornings from 11 to 11:30. Portrait Gallery educators lead the group to up to three portraits from the collection and encourage participants to look closely, sketch what they see and make connections. It is designed for visitors of all ages and needs no drawing experience, and all art materials are provided; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. After the tour, participants are invited to keep creating in the Education Center with a hands-on art activity. The tour meets in the G Street Lobby. It is free, but registration is required through the gallery's Eventbrite page. The Smithsonian calendar lists Saturdays from October 24 through December 19, 2026.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Read from the Smithsonian's own Trumba events feed (si.edu events calendar), which lists each session as its own entry. The Smithsonian feed does not print this museum's street address and no address page could be read (npg.si.edu/visit returned 403), so only 'Washington, DC' is given. Registration link taken from the feed entry (affiliate parameter removed).
