About this adventure
On the morning after Thanksgiving, the Anacostia Community Museum offers a calm alternative to Black Friday shopping. From 10 am there is coffee, hot chocolate and light refreshments, followed by the Cyanotype Portraits: Gratitude Family Workshop, where families arrange photographs, plants and small objects on light-sensitive paper and expose them to light to make blue-and-white prints celebrating the people and moments they are thankful for. Guests can also join a guided tour of the exhibition We Make History. The workshop and refreshments are free.
