About this adventure

A free weekly storytime for children from birth to age 6 and their caregivers in the Hirshhorn's Art School studio. Each Wednesday morning an educator reads a picture book aloud, then families play and explore an art activity tied to a work in the museum — in November the sessions visit the renovated Sculpture Garden, such as Yoshitomo Nara's Sentinels of Stillness (Nov 18) and Raven Halfmoon's Dancing at Dusk for a thank-you themed session (Nov 25). Sessions start at 10 and 11 am; capacity is limited and entry is first come, first served. A Spanish-language version, Estudio de Cuentos, runs on the last Tuesday of each month (e.g. Nov 24) with facilitation entirely in Spanish.
