About this adventure
Meadowside Nature Center in Rockville holds an hour-long community celebration of Día de los Muertos. Naturalists talk about the cultural traditions that honor death as a universal experience — in our own lives and in the natural world — and families can bring offerings for loved ones (people or pets) to add to a shared community altar exhibit. Children then explore themes of rest and renewal through culturally themed art activities. It is free and open to all ages; registration is through the county's online system.
