About this adventure

From November 7, 2026 through January 3, 2027, National Harbor's 60-foot RGB holiday tree on the Belvedere above National Harbor Plaza comes to life every night in a short light show set to a holiday medley recorded by the United States Air Force Band. Shows run every half hour from sunset until 9 p.m., so families can catch one after dinner on the Waterfront District or between rides on The Capital Wheel without planning around a single start time. On Saturday nights from November 7 to December 26 the 5:30 p.m. show is followed by fireworks over the plaza. The display is outdoors on the waterfront, so dress for the wind off the Potomac.
