About this adventure
Each winter Carroll Creek Park in downtown Frederick fills with individually designed sailboats that glow on the water after dark. The free outdoor light display launches on November 21, 2026 and stays up through the winter, so families can stroll the creekside promenade any evening, pick out favorite boats and pair the walk with the downtown holiday lights, the Light Walk installations and the Kris Kringle Procession in December. Boats are sponsored to support Frederick County nonprofit organizations.
