About this adventure

Chabad Intown's annual menorah lighting on Decatur Square brings the Chanukah celebration into the middle of downtown Decatur on a Sunday afternoon. The organizer promises music and entertainment, a gelt drop, dreidels, doughnuts, hot latkes and crafts for the kids, which makes the 90-minute gathering easy to enjoy with young children before dinner. It is one of a series of public lightings Chabad Intown holds around intown Atlanta during Chanukah, with others at Ponce City Market and in Virginia-Highland, and each is billed as a celebration for all ages. Admission is free; Chabad Intown asks families to RSVP online so it can plan for the crowd. Shops and restaurants around the square make it easy to stay on afterward.
