The City of McDonough packs its Christmas celebrations into one Saturday on the historic square in 2026. On December 5 the city calendar lists four back-to-back events at McDonough Square: the Merry Market on Main from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Santa and Mrs. Claus on the Square from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the McDonough Tree Lighting from 4 to 5 p.m., and the McDonough Christmas Parade from 6 to 8 p.m. The city's listings give only times and the square's address; they do not describe the parade route, Santa photo arrangements, vendors or any fees.
