About this adventure

For Space Saturday, the Austin Nature & Science Center opens its planetarium for a free family program in which visitors are taken on a tour of outer space under the dome. Short shows of about 30 minutes repeat through the late morning and early afternoon. Seats are limited for each show, so free activity passes are given out in front of the Visitors Center on a first-come, first-served basis shortly before the first show. The program is part of the center's series of free Saturday science programs, and families can spend the rest of the visit at the center's wildlife exhibits and in the neighboring Zilker Nature Preserve.
