On select Saturdays and Mondays, the Museum of Fine Arts parks its Discovery Cart in a gallery so visitors can handle the tools and materials artists use, look at demonstration pieces and reproductions, and talk with knowledgeable staff about how works of art are made. In October it is in the Liberty Mutual Gallery (Gallery 136) from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. It is a hands-on stop that makes the galleries click for school-age kids, and the MFA says it suits all ages.
