About this adventure

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce has run Rochester's holiday parade since the mid-1980s, and it is one of the largest in New Hampshire. This year's theme is Christmas in Whoville, so expect Grinch- and Who-inspired floats competing for Best of Parade, along with bands, youth-group marching units, mobile and equestrian units, city officials and police and fire crews, with Santa Claus bringing up the rear. The route is new for 2026: it starts at the triangle by the R.W. Creteau Regional Technology Center at Spaulding High School, heads south on Wakefield Street, turns at Central Square onto North Main Street and ends at Holy Rosary Church. Families can line Wakefield Street or the downtown blocks around Central Square for a late-afternoon parade that runs about an hour and a half, ending just after dark, so bring warm layers.
