Zoo New England's 26-acre zoo on Spot Pond in Stoneham, home to black bears, Canada lynx, cougars, arctic foxes, colobus monkeys and a Treasures of the Sierra Madre trail. Seasonal hours: October daily 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (Jack-O'-Lantern Nights Thursday–Sunday 5:30–9:30 p.m.); November 1–19 daily 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; November 20–January 3 daily 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. with ZooLights 4:00–9:30 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day); January 4–March daily 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Last ticket sold one hour before closing. Daytime admission uses Plan-Ahead Pricing that varies by date and time; current prices are on the online ticketing site, gate prices are always the highest and online purchases carry a $1.50 processing fee per ticket. Children under 2 are always free. Massachusetts EBT/WIC cardholders pay $7 per person for up to four people (through Dec. 31, 2026; WIC tickets must be bought at the gate); ConnectorCare cardholders pay $11 per person including the fee. Library passes give 40% off standard daytime admission for up to six guests (not valid for ZooLights or Boston Lights).
