Just before Thanksgiving, Drumlin Farm leads families on a guided hike to look for Wild Turkeys and the signs they leave behind: tracks, dropped feathers and scratch marks in the leaves. Along the way a naturalist explains how turkeys roost, forage, communicate and live in surprisingly social flocks. Back from the trail, kids settle in for a turkey-themed storybook and make a craft to take home. The program is designed for families with children ages 5 to 12, runs 90 minutes, and covers a manageable distance on wooded trails, so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Meet in front of the Nature Center; registration is required.
