Gurnee Park District's Arctic Express is a holiday train ride from Grayslake inspired by a beloved children's book, with interactive live storytelling, music, singing and dancing on the way to the 'North Pole'. There a jolly guest from the North boards and gives each child a gift before the ride home. Trains depart the Grayslake Train Station (Lake and St. Paul streets) on Saturday, December 12, with departures between 11:52 a.m. and 3:52 p.m. Every passenger must be registered and children must be with a ticketed adult; resident registration opens first.
