City of Evanston Parks & Recreation — Robert Crown Community Center

The City of Evanston's Robert Crown Community Center has an indoor ice rink with regular public skating sessions, plus DJ Skate Nights with music and lights. General admission tickets can be bought online up to seven days ahead or by phone, and pre-purchase ends two hours before each session; remaining tickets are sold in person from 30 minutes before the session, while DJ Skate Night tickets are sold only in person. Figure skates (child 8 to adult 14) and hockey skates (child 8 to adult 16) rent for $4 a pair. The rink stays around 60 degrees, so long sleeves, pants and gloves are recommended. Adults may not carry children on the ice, no more than two people may skate together, and jumps are not allowed during public skate.
