Bring your old jack-o'-lantern to Hidden Oaks Nature Center in Bolingbrook on Saturday, November 7, from noon to 4 p.m. and choose how it meets its end: pounded to a pulp, launched over a railing and more. Pumpkins go to McDonald Farm for composting, and families can roast hot dogs and s'mores over an open fire. Bring a wagon, bucket or bin to haul your pumpkin through the stations, or simply drop it off. Free, all ages, no registration. Part of the regional Pumpkin Smash led by SCARCE.
