Santa joins the Saturday afternoon public skate at the Skatium Ice Arena in Skokie on December 12, 2026, from 2 to 3:15 p.m. The park district plays holiday music and hands out candy canes during the session, and children can skate alongside Santa or meet him at the rink. It runs like a regular public session: no advance registration, pay admission and skate rental at the desk on arrival. Admission is $7 and rental $4, and season passes do not cover this themed skate. Good for families with skaters of any level, since the session is on the full indoor rink with other public skaters.
