Crabtree Nature Center in Barrington Hills runs Wee Wandering Wednesdays for children ages 2 to 6 with an adult every other Wednesday morning at 10 am; this season's dates are October 21, November 4 and November 18. Each session pairs a story with a craft and a little adventure at the nature center, a gentle introduction to nature for preschoolers. The program is free; tickets are handed out first come, first served, so arrive a little early. Dress little ones for the weather.
