About this adventure
When school lets out for winter break, Dallas Park and Recreation's Outdoor Adventures staff run up to two weeks of outdoor day camp at Samuell Farm. Certified staff teach archery, fishing, leather working, survival skills, mountain biking, nature photography, geocaching and more, with campers outdoors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Week 1 runs December 21–24 and Week 2 December 28–31, and families can sign up for one or both. An optional shuttle runs from Kidd Springs Recreation Center (drop-off 8:15 a.m., pick-up 5:15 p.m.). Dress for cold weather; activities are outside.
