About this adventure
An aviation and space museum in two hangars at Ellington Airport near Clear Lake, with historic military and civilian aircraft on display, a space gallery and the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame. Kids can try flight simulators, and the museum runs a toddler program, maker and learning-center activities, scout overnights and school-break day camps. Aircraft on display change from visit to visit. Admission is free on Tuesdays (Free Museum Days); other days are ticketed, with military and AAA discounts at the desk. Parking on site is free. The museum is closed Mondays, and it closes for some private events and for the Wings Over Houston airshow weekend, so check the closure notices before visiting.
