About this adventure
Every Thursday afternoon The Health Museum in the Museum District opens free to everyone from 2 to 5 pm. Families explore the exhibits about the human body, health and medical science, and can add two low-cost activities bought at the front desk: the DeBakey Cell Lab, where kids put on a lab coat, gloves and goggles for hands-on cell biology in English or Spanish, and a live organ dissection with a trivia game in the McGovern Theater at 3 pm. Free timed tickets must be reserved online and are released each Monday at 10 am for that week only, so plan early in the week. Re-entry is not allowed, and surface-lot parking is generally $10.
