About this adventure

The Lee's Summit Magic Tree is a giant lit holiday tree that Paragon Star has kept as a community tradition for more than a decade, and the season starts with a lighting ceremony on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The tree stands just north of I-470 off View High Drive on the Paragon Star property in Lee's Summit, and families come to watch it switch on, take photos in front of the lights and start the holiday season together. The ceremony doubles as a toy drive: in partnership with Operation Toy Soldier, visitors are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys for the children of deployed and non-deployed military families, which makes it an easy way to involve kids in giving. Paragon Star says this year brings a new chapter for the tradition. Dress for an outdoor evening in late November. A separate Magic Tree holiday pop-up bar operates elsewhere on the property and is not part of this listing.
