About this adventure

The Richfield Historical Society lights the trails of the Richfield Historical and Nature Park with luminaries for one evening in early November. Families choose a long loop of just over a mile or a short loop of under half a mile, both starting behind the pavilion, and are welcome to bring flashlights; both routes are stroller and wagon friendly, and leashed pets may come along. Along the way there are activities at the park's Pioneer Homestead, crackling bonfires to warm up by, free maple cotton candy, popcorn and apples, and hot dogs, ice cream, hot chocolate and cider for sale. Kids can buy glowsticks for extra fun on the dark trails. The short loop is manageable for preschoolers, while older children may want the longer walk. Admission and parking are free, with donations welcomed. In bad weather the society posts any cancellation on its website and Facebook page, so check before driving out to the park on State Road 164.
