About this adventure

Three Rivers Park District's Outdoor Recreation School closes out the year at Cleary Lake Regional Park in Prior Lake with a family snowshoe outing and one last s'more of 2026. Instructors show participants how to put on snowshoes and walk in them, lead a guided walk on the park's snowy trails, and then gather everyone around a fire to roast marshmallows and make s'mores. All equipment is provided, and if there is no snow the group goes for a hike instead. The program runs from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, during winter break, and is offered in partnership with Scott County. It is open to ages 5 and up; children 11 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult. The fee is $12 per person, and the program is outdoors, so dress for the weather.
