About this adventure

On the first Saturday evening of December, the Bohemia River Boaters decorate their boats with lights and cruise slowly along the C&D Canal to the Chesapeake Inn Restaurant and Marina in historic Chesapeake City. Families line the canal banks, the waterfront restaurants and Pell Gardens Park to watch the boats pass, which makes it an easy outing with children of any age: no tickets, just a spot along the water and warm layers. The parade runs from 6 to 8 pm; Pell Gardens on Bohemia Avenue is the listed gathering point.
