About this adventure
The Haddon Township Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving-weekend race in Westmont with a one-mile fun run/walk for families and a chip-timed 5K on the same course as last year. The fun run starts first, at 8:45 am, and every one-mile finisher gets a medal, so it is a good first race for school-age children; kids 11 and under also have their own lower entry fee and age-group awards in the 5K. Runners are encouraged to dress up, with prizes for the top three Thanksgiving-themed costumes. Race-day packet pickup and registration are at The Pour House on Haddon Avenue from 7:30 to 9 am, with early pickup the day before at Haddonfield Running Co. on Kings Highway East. Refreshments are served at the finish, followed by a post-race gathering at The Pour House, and long-sleeve shirts go to the first 1,000 registrants.
