The City of Avondale's Avondazzle Dash sends runners in winter costumes through the Avondazzle holiday lights at the Avondale Civic Center on Saturday, December 19. The 10K and 5K start at 8:00 am, and the 1K Winter Waddle at 9:00 am is a single lap through the light show, the natural choice for young children and families who want to take part together. Afterwards everyone is invited to the Frosty Finish Line Party with a breakfast and the light show. Strollers are allowed, with stroller walkers starting at the back of the corral, but pets are not, apart from service animals. 4 Peaks Racing handles runner registration and chip timing for all three distances; the city page does not list entry fees, so check the registration page for prices before race day.
