About this adventure

Retired ASU professors Duane and Maureen Roen return to HD SOUTH in Gilbert's Heritage District for a hands-on music workshop. Participants turn ordinary household items into simple percussion instruments, learn how to play them, and finish the afternoon with a short concert performed together with the Roens. All supplies are provided and all ages are welcome, so it works as a family activity where a preschooler can shake a homemade rattle while an older child builds a drum. Plan on about an hour and a half. Space is limited and registration is required through the museum's event page; it is free.
