About this adventure

The West Valley Youth Symphony gives the next concert in Glendale's LiVE! @ Murphy Park series, an outdoor evening of orchestral music in the park at the center of Historic Downtown Glendale. Because the orchestra is a youth symphony and the setting is a lawn rather than a concert hall, it is an easy first orchestra concert for children: families spread out on blankets or lawn chairs, and young listeners can watch players not much older than themselves. The city asks guests to bring their own chair or blanket, as there is no fixed seating. Gates open at 6 PM and the music begins at 7 PM, so arriving at opening time leaves room to settle in, find a spot with a view of the stage and have a picnic before the first piece. Admission is free. The evening ends after dark, so a light jacket for children is a good idea in November.
