About this adventure
The Butler YMCA's annual Turkey Trot starts and finishes right outside the Y in downtown Butler on the first Saturday of November. Families can pick the 1-mile run at 9:45 a.m., a manageable distance for school-age kids, or the 5K that follows at about 10 a.m. on a rolling course out to Butler Memorial Park and back. Age-group awards begin with a 1–10 bracket, so young runners compete with children their own age. Registering online by October 30 costs half as much as signing up later, and race-day registration inside the YMCA from 8:30 a.m. takes cash or check only. Packet pickup is on race morning only, and the T-shirt ordering deadline has passed.
