Decorated, lighted boats of the Christmas Ships fleet (a tradition since 1954) parade on the Willamette River from Riverplace Marina in downtown Portland, alternating routes to Johns Landing/Fremont Bridge and to Milwaukie, plus combined-fleet runs to Lake Oswego (Dec 19) and St. Johns Bridge/Cathedral Park (Dec 20). Viewable free from riverbanks and waterfront restaurants; each run lasts about two hours. Schedule subject to weather and river conditions.
