About this adventure
For one weekend the Preservation Society opens The Breakers and Marble House free to residents of Newport County (Newport, Jamestown, Middletown, Portsmouth, Tiverton and Little Compton) with proof of residence, plus Naval Station Newport personnel and their immediate families and Salve Regina students with ID. It is an easy way for local families to try a mansion visit with children: download the free Newport Mansions audio tour app and bring earbuds, since both houses have children's audio tours with sound effects and characters, including the house itself narrating. Specialty tours such as Beneath the Breakers and the Third Floor tour are not included.
