About this adventure
Thanksgiving morning's family running tradition in Pawtucket, billed by the organizer as Rhode Island's largest turkey trot. The kids' race is about half a mile for children 12 and under, and parents are welcome to run with their kids; the top three boys and girls receive awards. The 5K run/walk follows at 10:00 am, and strollers can start at the back. The race collects donations for the Pawtucket Soup Kitchen, and a post-race party is planned. Packet pickup opens at 8:30 am at the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center on Roosevelt Avenue. Prices go up after October 31; there are bundle discounts with the organizer's other races.
