About this adventure

An 18.5-acre play destination at Dorothea Dix Park billed as the largest adventure playground in the Southeast. Kids can climb and slide through Slide Valley, dig in the Sand Bowl, find their way through the Sensory Maze and share the 91-foot mega-swing on the Swing Terrace. At the top, Watermill Mountain is a kid-powered water play area modeled on Historic Yates Mill, with pulleys, pumps, spouts and dams, plus a waterfall and splash pad (water features run April through October; dates vary). The House of Many Porches Market sells snacks and has restrooms; the central restroom building has 10 family cabanas with changing tables and a shower. Outside food is welcome, Picnic Grove grills are first come, first served, food trucks visit, and sensory kits can be borrowed from Guest Services.
