About this adventure
Knock, Knock is a 30-minute interactive play for babies, toddlers and preschoolers (recommended ages 0–5) in Raleigh Little Theatre's intimate Gaddy-Goodwin Teaching Theatre, created for the Alliance Theatre's Theatre for the Very Young series. The audience travels through an apartment building, meeting the residents behind different doors and on different floors: delivery boxes become imaginative forts, snowflake crafting causes frustration, there is a festive party, and everyone tries to keep warm in the winter chill. There are no typical conversations; performers use a few frequently repeated key words, physical action and props, so even pre-verbal children can follow. Children sit on the floor and are welcome and encouraged to move around and join the action, and capacity is capped at 50 people per show, which keeps it calm. Morning shows at 10, 11:15 and 12:30 run Wednesday through Sunday, fitting nap schedules.
