About this adventure
The San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, whose players are aged 12 to 21, performs Prokofiev's musical fable Peter and the Wolf with a guest narrator, Mychal Threets. The program also includes other seasonal and holiday favorites, conducted by music director Radu Paponiu. The story teaches children how each character is played by a different instrument, so it makes a good first orchestra concert for school-age children. Young musicians may also like seeing teenagers on the Davies stage. The Symphony does not admit children under 3 to this concert. Children under 12 must sit with an accompanying adult, and kids' tickets are half off.
