About this adventure
Novato Library's Teen Sensory Study Hall turns the library's Community Room into a quiet, relaxing space for teenagers on an occasional Thursday after school. From 5 to 6 PM, teens can settle in to work on homework, crafts or their own projects, with snacks and refreshments provided. Two therapy dogs from the Marin Humane Society visit to offer snuggles: Miles the Pug, a veteran therapy dog, and Petra, who previously worked as a bomb-sniffing dog at Bay Area stadiums and concert venues. The session is pitched as a calm alternative to a busy library floor, which suits teens who find noise and crowds draining. The next sessions are October 29 and December 3. No registration is listed, and teens can sign up for the library's monthly teen newsletter for future dates; ADA accommodation requests can be made through the event page.
