About this adventure

An after-school science club at the New Haven branch of Scenic Regional Library that makes snow before winter does. Children 5 to 11 make their own fake snow, mix up snowy slime and learn the science behind winter weather in a hands-on, sensory-rich hour. The library warns that the activities can get messy, so dress kids in clothes that can take some slime. It is a good fit for curious elementary-age kids who like experiments they can touch. Registration is required for the club, which meets in the branch meeting room on a Friday afternoon, and families who need an accommodation should contact the library early.
