About this adventure

The third annual STARFISH Foundation Turkey Trot brings a Thanksgiving-morning 5K and a 1-mile fun run/walk to Anderson Snow Park in Spring Hill, raising money for the Hernando County foundation's work helping people get access to mental health services. The 5K run/walk starts at 8 a.m. and the fun run at 8:15; students ages 5 to 18 can enter the 5K at a reduced rate. Every participant gets a race shirt and a finisher's medal, but shirts and medals are only guaranteed for those registered by November 15. Age-group awards begin with a 9-and-under division, food and drinks open after the race at 8:30, and awards follow at 9. The park opens at 5 a.m. on race day, with packet pickup from 6:30. Early packet pickup is the evening before at the Chick-fil-A on Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville.
