A first owl prowl designed for the youngest owl fans, ages 2 to 6, at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield. Families start in the Nature Center exploring real owl feathers, skulls and talons and learning how owls live and hunt. Then they take a gentle hike as the light fades, watching and listening for Barred Owls, Great Horned Owls and Eastern Screech-Owls. The evening ends with an owl-hooting lesson and a take-home owl craft. Starting at 4pm, it finishes early enough for little ones. Dress for the weather.
